Public registers we join, refresh cadence, and how signals are derived — facts only.

We don't publish the exact list of registers, endpoints and walk schedules we run: that recipe is part of the product. Every fact on a profile still cites the specific register it came from, with the date we retrieved it.

Risk signals we derive

Risk signals are computed deterministically from register events, never from opinion. Each is a flag to investigate, with its own source and date:

Phoenix pattern (when available): directors linked to a recently liquidated company in the same trade and region. Currently deferred until a free officeholder graph is available.
Insolvency history: one or more insolvency or external-administration events on the corporate record.
Company deregistered: ASIC (or equivalent) shows the company as deregistered.
Recent status change: a licence or company status changed recently (including ABN cancelled).
Licence not current: a linked contractor licence is cancelled, suspended, expired or otherwise not current.
Expired licence with active DA: an active development application tied to a builder whose licence is no longer current.
Disciplinary history: a regulator disciplinary or enforcement record, including rows retained after upstream removal.
Records removed upstream: BuilderVet holds a dated snapshot of a row that no longer appears on the live register.
