Core licence lookups are free. A full risk report (joining ASIC, disciplinary and DA history into one timeline) is a one-off A$69, and ongoing monitoring of a builder is A$29/month.
Where does BuilderCheck get its data?
Only from official public registers: the NSW Fair Trading licence register, ASIC's company and published-notices registers, NSW Fair Trading disciplinary and Name-and-Shame records, and the NSW Planning Portal. Every fact on a profile carries its source and the date it was retrieved.
Does BuilderCheck keep personal dossiers on individuals?
No. BuilderCheck is entity-centric by design: profiles are keyed to companies and licences, not to individuals. We link directors across companies only to surface patterns like phoenixing, using public ASIC data, and we present those links as signals to investigate rather than findings.
Which regions does BuilderCheck cover?
Coverage begins in the Sydney Northern Beaches and is expanding across NSW, then nationally. The underlying registers are NSW-wide, so any NSW builder can be looked up today.
A disciplinary record was removed from the official site — why is it still here?
Some disciplinary and Name-and-Shame listings are taken down upstream over time. BuilderCheck keeps an archived snapshot because the longitudinal record is the whole point of the product. Such records are clearly flagged "archived — removed upstream" with the date we captured them.
